Herriman is tucked into the southwest corner of the Salt Lake Valley, right up against the Oquirrh Mountains, and it has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Utah for years. What used to be Fort Herriman farmland is now neighbourhoods, ball fields and trailheads.
Locals know the rhythm: mornings at Blackridge Reservoir before it gets busy, afternoons at Butterfield Park or J. Lynn Crane Park, and evenings watching the light go orange on the mountains behind town.
We chose Herriman for our first kitchen because it felt like the kind of place where a family food business still means something.
